Terms of Use

Effective: July 9, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of setlag.demtschenko.com and related apps (the "Service"), operated by Daniel Demtschenko ("Setlag," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Setlag. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. The Service

Setlag helps you cross-reference your travel plans against upcoming sets and club nights by artists you follow, and connect with friends to see who's going where. Event listings are sourced from third-party providers (Ticketmaster, Resident Advisor, Edmtrain, Skiddle) and artist data from Last.fm — we don't guarantee their accuracy, availability, or completeness.

3. Your Account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Friend Connections

When you connect with another user, certain information (such as your phone number, if you've added one) becomes visible to that friend. You're responsible for who you choose to connect with. See our Privacy Policy for details on what's shared and when.

6. Feedback & Content You Submit

Anything you submit through the feedback feature (bug reports, feature requests, messages) may be used by us to improve the Service, without any obligation to compensate you or keep it confidential, though we'll treat it in line with our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

Setlag links out to third-party ticketing and event sites (e.g. to purchase tickets). Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which we don't control and aren't responsible for. Any transaction you make on a third-party site is between you and that provider.

8. Intellectual Property

The Setlag name, logo, and app design are owned by Daniel Demtschenko. Event and artist data belongs to their respective providers. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service except as the Service itself allows (e.g. sharing an event link).

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of event listings, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee that any event, artist, or venue information is current or correct — always confirm details with the original ticketing source before making plans.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Setlag and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed events, incorrect listings, or issues with third-party providers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the past 12 months.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you — including, for consumers in Australia, non-excludable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with or without notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country of residence (e.g. the Australian Consumer Law) says otherwise for non-excludable rights.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
